The Two-and-Through Teams

The Guardians sit at 40-48 and enter the week having lost 10 straight games. The A’s are at the bottom of the AL West. Both teams managed to get two All-Stars, but neither deserved a third selection.

While the Angels could only have one representative, Adell’s .823 OPS and 19 home runs might have been enough to earn him a spot over Kikuchi.

On a Dodgers team rich with talent, Pages leads the club in RBI and ranks in the top three for hits and home runs. Abbott ranks fourth in the NL for ERA among pitchers with at least 75 innings, though his late-season start may have hampered his chances. Garcia, boasting the highest batting average and on-base percentage among all qualified AL third basemen, also has 18 stolen bases.

The League Switch
